Adaa Khan On The Horror Shows – ‘Supernatural Genre Is A Healthy Trend’

Actress Adaa Khan is one such actress that the television industry can boast of who has not been subjected to only playing the vamp. While she has quite the list of shows where she has played the antagonist, but she is also remembered for her other roles as well. Though initially Adaa’s character was a positive one in Naagin 1, it was turned negative during the second half of the show and remained so, throughout Naagin 2. She also made an appearance as the antagonist in Naagin 3’s finale episode.

However, she currently plays a supernatural protagonist in Vish Ya Amrit: Sitara. On being asked about the growing trend of supernatural shows, she says, "Supernatural and horror genre always had an audience. It is a healthy trend. At the end of the day, TV is all about drama and story-telling. The lady also maintained that the audience is looking for thrill and entertainment and not meaning in TV shows and believes that TV is a mass’ medium and whatever entertains is loved. Well, we don’t disagree with the actress here, but what we wish for is that the genre is presented with limited time and not dragged unnecessarily.
