In 1995, Tupac wrote a letter to ex-girlfriend Madonna, trying to explain his side. The letter is dated January 15, 1995, and the time is 9:30 am. He writes in the letter why he broke up with her. The reason might be silly to people today. The reason Tupac broke up with Madonna was because of her race. He didn’t want to be seen with a white girlfriend as it would damage his image. He says he would be letting down his people if he went ahead with the relationship.

He writes, he didn’t want to hurt her but the things she said in an interview was the call for him and he had to save himself.
