There Will Be A Change In The Title Of Mental Hai Kya, Confirms Kangana Ranaut
Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao will be next seen in Mental Hai Kya. The film, produced by Ekta Kapoor was recently in the controversy because of its title. The flick's title was claimed to be derogatory to those suffering from mental illnesses as per a set of psychiatrists and mental health experts. Now, Kangana confirmed that the title will be changed.
Kangana Ranaut is gearing up for the release of her next film, Mental Hai Kya, which also stars Rajkummar Rao as the male lead. The film, which is being produced by Ekta Kapoor ran into troubled waters, because of its title. A set of psychiatrists and mental health experts believed that the film's title is derogatory to those suffering from mental illnesses. Ekta defended the title on Twitter then as she said Mental Hai Kya is sensitive towards the mental health issues and the title of the movie does not intend to hurt sentiments. The producer even tweeted a "disclaimer" ahead of the film's trailer announcement.
As per the latest update, Ekta has lost this battle as there will be a mild change in the title of Mental Hai Kya. The film was screened for the censor board officials on Thursday night. Kangana was present in this meeting too. She spoke to some journalists outside the venue and said that while there will be no cuts in the film, the title will go through a mild change. "Well, there will be a mild change in the title of the film since they find it too harsh, so we are more than happy to do that. And, other than that there are absolutely no cuts and they were thrilled to see the film," said the actress. We wonder what the new title is going to be.

Directed by Prakash Kovelamudi, Mental Hai Kya also stars Amyra Dastur, Amrita Puri, Jimmy Shergill. Shah Rukh Khan will have an extended cameo in the film. It is scheduled to hit the theatres on July 21.
