Tanushree Dutta may be missing from the Bollywood scene, but looks like the actress is ready to spill some dirty secrets of Hindi film industry and unveil its ugly face. In a recent interview to an entertainment channel the actress opened up about an episode where the casting of a film was being discussed. According to Tanushree’s admission, an actor while being a part of casting discussion didn’t care about his co-star’s body of work, but wanted to just know if she was willing to compromise.

In an interview to Zoom, Tanushee revealed, “Kisi film ki casting mein ladkiyon ka naam suggest kiya jaa raha tha. Actor ne ek hi sawaal poocha... yeh nahi poocha isko acting aati hai? Iski pichli film kya thi? Usko koi award mile hai kya? It’s very crude...” (Once during the casting of a film many girls were being discussed about. The actor however had just one question to ask. He didn’t bother asking about acting talent or what was their previous work or then whether they’ve bagged awards.)

She then repeated the actor’s exact words and said, “Deti hai kya?” (WSSXXill she be willing to f**ck). Indeed this is wrong and crude like Dutta suggests.

That’s not all; in the same interaction the actress also opened up about her fight with Nana Patekar on a film set. Tanushree had alleged in 2008 that Nana Patekar had misbehaved with her on Horn OK Please sets and immediately afterwards demanded an intimate scene with her while filming for an item number. Dutta was ousted from the project and Rakhi Sawant was roped in for this act.

Nana Patekar obviously denied the episode and Tanushree Dutta found no support from her own industry members. Nana insisted that in his 35 years as an actor he had never faced any such allegation and even went on to call Tanushree “daughter like”.

While the industry was silent about such uncomfortable matters then times have changed drastically. Today a Kangana Ranaut has dared to wage an open war against Hrithik Roshan. Actresses like Sunny Leone, Swara Bhasker and Radhika Apte have come out in the media and talked about matters that the fraternity was not very open about.

After almost a decade, as Tanushree revisits the horrific incident will the Hindi film industry come out and speak up or will they continue to remain mute spectators?
