Bollywood hottie Surveen Chawla, best known for her role in Hate Story , has been booked along with husband and brother, reports Amar Ujala. An FIR has been lodged against the three for a fraud of Rs 40 lakh. Advocate Naveen Jairath, co-producer Pankaj Gupta and his father Satpal Gupta, showcased the said FIR reported against the three, it is reported.
The details have reportedly been revealed that Hoshiarpur resident businessman Satpal Gupta was introduced to Surveen Chawla and her husband Akshay Thakkar for a certain movie deal. He said Surveen Chawla, Manvinder Singh and husband Akshay Thakkar worked together for making films. In the name of making a film titled “Nil Batte Sannata” it was suggested that if they gave Rs 1 crore as a loan, they could earn good money in return. after the release of the movie.
Gupta agreed to give Rs 51 lakh for the said production, as it is alleged, but he ended up giving Rs 40 lakh in the end which was transferred to the account of JAR Pictures. Gupta said the three accused remained in close contact till the film was completed and before the film was released. It was also suggested that Rs 70 Lakh will be given in return for the money invested.
When the film was released on April 22, 2016, when the returns were not given, as it was reported in the FIR filed , suspicion aroused. later been insinuated that the loan amount of Rs 40 lakh in the account statement of the film was mentioned as given by Akshay Thakkar to the said party via the production house.
