More than a year ago, in December 2017, adult film actress turned Bollywood hottie, Sunny Leone, triggered a protest as pro-Kannada groups which includes the Karnataka Yuva Sene, an off-shoot of the Karnataka Rakshana Vedike got offended. Black ribbons,  brooms, Sunny's film posters set on fire; the scene looked dramatic and emotions ran high. The reason was given back then was this: Sunny is 'corrupting' the culture of the state. This year too  Leone is scheduled to perform at the popular White Orchid Hotel in Bengaluru.

The self-proclaimed moral police and the 'protectors' of the culture are once again enraged. But the recent developments suggest that she could perform in the city as long as she follows one condition. "We are not opposed to Sunny Leone performing in the city. She is free to come to the city and perform but we are insisting that in November, Kannada should be promoted. All theatres should have Kannada films, all pubs should have Kannada songs and the event she is performing in should also have Kannada music," said Praveen Shetty of the Karnataka Rakshana Vedike, reports suggest.  Sunny Leone Faces Sexual Harassment When She Was Just 18! Now one fails to get this statement. Let's assume that the state does not want Sunny with her 'portfolio' to influence the young kids of K'taka. Perhaps the so-called protectors of culture opine that Sunny Should not be put on a pedestal and given a star status based on what she has done in her career so far. How is this argument going to change if she suddenly starts shaking her starry booty to the tune of Kannada numbers? Looks like the much-needed logic is straight out of the window, and all we smell is hypocrisy! What do you think readers?
