Guhan Senniappan's action thriller Weapon is a Tamil-language film. Under Million Studio, MS Manzoor is the film's producer. June 7, 2024, is when the movie has released in theatres. The main character of the movie is Agni, a passionate environmentalist YouTuber who is looking for a superhuman (Mithran) to record and post on his channel. Unfortunately, piracy has been impacting the movie. According to reports, Weapon has been illegally released in high definition on several torrent sites, including Telegram groups, Tamilrockers, 1337x, and MovieRulz. The industry is still beset by the problem of piracy, as new movies and television series sometimes surface on these websites the day after they are released.

Several attempts have been made to stop piracy, yet it still exists. Websites that were formerly prohibited have reappeared, continuing the unauthorised dissemination of material. To address this persistent issue, stricter cyber cell measures are desperately needed.

Coming back to the movie, a team disclosed that they represented Sathyaraj as a young guy using artificial intelligence (AI) technology.  Ghibran is the composer of the music, while Prabhu Raghav is in charge of the camerawork. Gopi Krishna handled the film's editing, while Sudesh created the action scenes.
