Now it is seeping into the South too, with lyricist Vairamuthu being accused now of being forcibly intimate with a girl. This will come as a shock to many Tamil movie fans, as the lyricist and poet is a celebrated figure there and has been a recipient of several National awards. Talking about the allegation, journalist Sandhya Menon had posted a message from a girl, who wants to remain anonymous, about her ordeal involving Vairamuth. As per her experience, Vairamuthu had called her to his house for a project. Then she revealed, that he came close to her on the pretext of explaining some lyrics and then he forcibly tried to hug and kiss her. The girl then ran away from his house, though she later had to work with him in the future too. While this is definitely a shocking revelation, the anonymity of the victim may lessen the impact of this accusation. If there is truth in this allegation, we do hope that the other victims also come out in the open and tell the truth.
