The pro Kannada activists, known to be a dominating fringe outfit in Karnataka have decided to protest against Rajinikanth's 2.0, reports to Newsx. They haven't asked for a ban on the film as of yet. However, they have demanded to not release the film in Urvashi Cinema, Bengaluru. The Rajinikanth- Akshay Kumar starrer is slated to release 29 November. The reason for the protest is still unknown. The activists had also created a stir when Thalaiva's film Kaala was releasing back in June. The actor-turned-politician had made controversial statements on issues like the Thoothukudi violence and the Cauvery river water sharing issue.

This is the same fringe outfit that had previously opposed Sunny Leone's film and her performance in Veeramadevi where she portrays a historical figure. The protesters claimed that casting sunny in the role was an "insult" to the historical figure. They had also asked the makers to replace the actress in the film. The pro- Kannada activists had protested against Baahubali 2: The Conclusion asking actor Sathyaraj as they wanted him to apologize for his statement against the Kauveri in Karnataka. Here's What Went Into The Making of Akshay Kumar's Phenomenal Look in 2.0 - Watch Video.

Talking about 2.0, the film has been in the making since a very long time. If the fringe outfits continue their protests, it might lead to a huge loss as the makers would have to halt the film's release. The trailer of 2.0 released a few weeks back starring Amy Jackson, Akshay and Rajinkanth. Will these protests against Rajinikanth's 2.0 affect the release date of the film? Let's see.
