Thalapathy 64: Not Kiara Advani But Malavika Mohanan to Romance Vijay in his Next Movie?
Recent reports suggest that Beyond the Clouds actress Malavika Mohanan has been roped in opposite Vijay in Thalapathy 64. Earlier rumour mill was buzzing with Kiara Advani being a part of it.
When Thalapathy 64's director, Lokesh Kanagaraj was earlier asked to reveal details about his next with Vijay, he simply had few words to say. He said, "You will get to watch never-seen-before Vijay in the movie and it will be a never-seen-before Vijay film." Guess, those words were enough to pique our interest in his next outing and we are eager to find out all the related deets about it. That even includes the actress who will romance the superstar in his next. Is it Kiara Advani or Malavika Mohanan? Well, going by the recent reports, seems like the Petta actress has managed to grab this big deal.
As per a report in India Today, Malavika has been confirmed to star opposite Vijay in Thalapathy 64 and sources close to the film's unit have revealed that an announcement on the same will be shortly made. Bagging a Vijay movie is no small feat and we can only assume Malavika's level of excitement. The director is currently busy with the film's pre-production work and the project is expected to go on floors in late-October or early-November, that's after the release of his next, Bigil.

Malavika was earlier seen with Rajinikanth in Petta but she didn't really have a meaty role in the same. However, in Thalapathy 64, she has a full-fledged role and it even makes sense.
