Keerthy Suresh who took home the top honour of best actress at this year's National Film Awards for her exceptional performance in Mahanati is currently on cloud 9. The actress is also set to star along with Rajinikanth in his upcoming film, Thalaivar 168 and has recently begun shooting for the same. While fans of the actress have been showering her with wishes for her recent win, she also received a special celebration from the team of Thalaivar 168 and even the superstar himself was present for it.

The Petta star celebrated Keerthy’s National Award win on the sets of their upcoming film, the actress was gifted with flower bouquets and also cut the cake with Rajinikanth and other team members of Thalaivar 68. We bet this was an extremely special moment for Suresh who is currently over the moon given that she will soon be sharing the screen space with Rajinikanth. Not long after confirming her role in the film, Keerthy had said, “Extremely happy to announce this magical milestone in my journey. From being awestruck of @rajinikanth sir to sharing screen space with him will be my most cherished memory in my life. Thank you @directorsiva sir.”

We are yet to know what role Keerthy Suresh will be playing in the upcoming film. Before Keerthy Suresh, actor Soori, who is known for his role in Jilla was roped in as one of the film's cast member. Keerthy is certainly in a great space when it comes to her career given that she has also bagged a Bollywood film. The actress will be making her Hindi film debut with Ajay Devgn in Maidaan.
