Controversial Telugu star Sri Reddy made headlines again after she had stripped in public to hold a protest. Her demand was for justice as she was not getting any work in Telugu film industry. She also complained about women being exploited in the industry. This incident happened in Film Nagar where the actress took off her clothes and staged the protest. The protest was in fact against Movie Artists Association (MAA) for not giving her membership despite continued requests.

Sri Reddy invited a TV channel and rendered herself to innerwear. Later she has hidden her modesty under her hands and removed the top wear too. She accused that both Movie Artists Association and Producers Association are not giving her membership despite the fact that she acted in many movies and also produced three films. Post the protest, she was detained by the local police. Banjara hills police reached the spot and urged the artist to file a formal complaint. Reddy refused and continued her protest. She was later detained by the police and removed from the spot.

Speaking to ANI, KS Roa, ACP, Bengaluru revealed that Reddy hasn't registered her complaint anywhere and they are looking to take action against her for being a 'nuisance'. He said, "She hasn't registered any complaint anywhere. This's no way to protest. She's been removed from the spot as she was creating nuisance. We'll take action after watching CCTV footage."
Meanwhile talking to the channel, Reddy had said, “For how long they will delay membership to me? Now that a girl has removed her clothes and stood on the road, will those people feel ashamed for their acts? Next time, I will once again go clothless in a similar fashion until they give me a membership.”
