Tamizh Padam is one film that should come up with new versions every year. The film gives you a kind of review into all the films that have come out in the previous year. Of course, it includes a lot of old films also. While fans are excited to watch Shiva in the film, it is the antagonist, P, played by Sathish that makes the film worth a watch. Iswarya Menon, plays the female lead in this movie with the perfect comic timing. Manobala, R Sundarrajan and Santhana Bharati together are a hilarious combination. In fact, it's Manobala's look in the film that will make you roll on the floor laughing more.

Staying true to the concept of making a spoof of all Tamil films, the actors are seen picking scenes and dialogues from films like Vivegam, 2.0 (even before it has released), Vishal's Thuparivalan, Anushka's Bhaagamathie and even Baahubali for that matter. It takes an unexpected turn when you suddenly hear the Game Of Thrones theme music and enters Iswarya as Khalasi. I'm not even kidding! It's such a wonderful sight. And Iswarya does make a beautiful Daenerys. Though there are parts where the makers have dragged on and on. The film refuses to end and you really want it to end at one point.

The writers had too many plots planned for Tamizh Padam 2 and wanted to execute all of them. The film could have been shorter than it was. There is also this short sequence in the beginning where Shiva takes a lot of digs at Rajinikanth which seemed totally unnecessary and forced. I was really hoping this one would also have a song like Oh Maha Zeeya, in the first part. The songs aren't that great except for the last one with a dance face off. Jiiva makes a guest appearance in the movie. Apart from taking digs at other films and actors, Shiva also takes multiple digs at his own acting skills.

Yay

- It's a laugh riot!

- Overall performances are not a let down at all

- Sathish, as an antagonist, is hilarious

- The dance off at the end is a visual treat

- C.S. Amudan has done a wonderful job as a director of the film

Nay

- The film gets to a point where you desperately want it to end

- There are too many plots that makers thought of and wanted to execute all of them

- The songs are not as good as the first part of the franchise

Final Verdict

Tamizh Padam 2 might not be as good as the first part but it is definitely worth a watch. Sathish's different villain avatars keep you entertained throughout the film. Have you seen the film yet? Tell us what you think of it in the comments below and stay tuned with us for more.
