Tamizh Padam 2: Mirchi Shiva's Spoof Film to Release on July 12
Tamizh Padam 2 is out in theatres on July 12. The runtime is revealed to be of two hours 25 minutes.
This week, there are two movies clashing at the Kollywood box office, the mass entertainer KadaiKutty Singam starring Karthi and Mirchi Shiva's spoof film, Tamizh Padam 2. Tamizh Padam 2 has now found an advantage that it will be releasing a day before its competitor. So while KKS will be coming out on July 13, Tamizh Padam 2 is out in theatres on July 12. The runtime is revealed to be of two hours 25 minutes.
The first film that also had Shiva in the lead was a huge hit and the audiences loved how it made fun of the popular cliches in Tamil cinema. The sequel looks the up the fun and spoof quotient, and the promotional campaign has already given us a tease of that! All the posters we have seen till from the film have been poking fun at big Tamil movies, including Rajinikanth's Kaala and 2.0. Tamizh Padam 2.0 also stars Disha Pandey, Iswarya Menon and Sathish.
Earlier in an interview to TOI, Satish, known for his comic roles, told the publication, "Of all these, I feel my role in Tamizh Padam 2 will be much talked about. I hope it will be a lifetime character for me — I have 15 looks in the film! In fact, even the hero, Shiva, does not have as many looks. The audience will have the feeling of having watched multiple movies for a single ticket."
