Chiranjeevi's Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is South's big project to look forward to after Prabhas' Saaho hits the screens this week (August 30, 2019). The movie is a period saga revolving around the life of forgotten freedom fighter, Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. The buzz around Chiranjeevi's next was justified for this project has a stellar star-cast coupled with an intriguing storyline and amazing cinematography. The film's first teaser was released recently and it has only piqued our interest further.

Speaking about the protagonist and the character he plays, Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy was the first freedom fighter to raise his voice against the tyranny of British. He lead 5000 peasants in their revolt against the East India Company to protest the changes Britishers introduced to the traditional agrarian system. A war was waged by Reddy against the British army and towards the end, he was captured, convicted and given a death penalty. He used Guerilla warfare techniques to combat the British army and a movie on his life was really needed.

Produced by Ram Charan, the movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Vijay Sethupathi, Kichcha Sudeep, Nayanthara, Niharika and Tamannaah in key roles. The movie is slated to release on October 2, 2019.
