The sudden demise of Indian politician Sushma Swaraj was a shock for not only the political world, but even for personalities from other industries. Sushma Swaraj served as the Minister of External Affairs of India from May 26, 2014 to May 30, 2019. On August 6 night she succumbed to cardiac arrest. Sushma Swaraj was reportedly rushed to AIIMS Hospital around 9.30pm and was straight away taken to the emergency ward. The doctors at the hospital confirmed that Sushma Swaraj, aged 67, passed away after suffering from a heart attack. On August 6 evening Sushma Swaraj had shared her last tweet that read, “Thank you Prime Minister. Thank you very much. I was waiting to see this day in my lifetime.” She congratulated PM Narendra Modi, to revoke the special status for Jammu and Kashmir. On hearing the demise of the Sushma Swaraj, PM Narendra Modi tweeted, “A glorious chapter in Indian politics comes to an end. India grieves the demise of a remarkable leader who devoted her life to public service and bettering lives of the poor. Sushma Swaraj will be cremated today (August 7) at the Lodhi Crematorium in Delhi after 3pm. The senior leader of Bharatiya Janata Party will be cremated with full state honours. Sushma Swaraj is survived by her husband Swaraj Kaushal and daughter Bansuri. Stay tuned for more updates!
