Tamil cinema’s superstar Suriya has made a big announcement of his next film. The actor has confirmed that his upcoming project which is tentatively titled as Suriya 38 would be directed by Sudha Kongara. This 47-year-old filmmaker is known to direct films such as Drohi, Irudhi Suttru and Guru. Suriya 38 which is planned to release next year is her fourth directorial project. Superstar Suriya will be sharing screen space with Malayalam actress Aparna Balamurali, who is best known for her role in Maheshinte Prathikaaram that released in 2016. The shooting of Suriya 38 will commence from tomorrow (April 8). The makers have released a statement which also mentions, “The pooja was held today (April 7) for the film produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment, co-produced by Rajsekar Karpoorasundarapandian, in association with the Oscar-winning Guneet Monga of Sikhya Entertainment. The female lead is played by Aparna Balamurali and the rest of the cast comprises of extraordinary performers from across the country.
