The stars from the South movie industries had arranged for a prayer meet for the departed Sridevi, that was attended by some eminent movie personalities as well as Sridevi's family. Husband Boney Kapoor, daughters Janhvi and Khushi, brother-in-law Sanjay Kapoor and family friend and politician Amar Singh. We have already reported how the pictures of teary-eyed Janhvi and Khushi were going viral. Let's talk about the attendees at the event.

While some of the huge superstars gave the event a miss, popular celebs like Suhasini Maniratnam, Prabhu Deva, Simran, Karthi, Suriya Sivakumar, Jyothika, AR Rahman and his wife, Sneha, Arun Vijay, Srikanth, Meena, Vineeth and others arrived at the venue to pay their respects to the much loved diva.

Superstars and upcoming politicians, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan were conspicuous by their absence. Both of them had been at Anil Kapoor's house when the news of Sridevi's demise came out, but they couldn't make it to the prayer meet. Rajinikanth, who is on a spiritual journey in the Himalayas, had earlier mourned the demise of his co-star on Twitter, as he wrote Rajinikanth had earlier mourned Sridevi’s death on Twitter by saying, “I’m shocked and very disturbed. I’ve lost a dear friend and the industry has lost a true legend. My heart goes out to her family and friends. I feel the pain with them #RIPSridev ... you will be missed.” His wife, Latha Rajinikanth, did attend the meet.
