KE Gnanavel Raja's Studio Green shared on the social media, "Sai Sai. Suriya 39 Announcement. We are thoroughly elated to announce that director Siva will helm Suriya 39. Expectations skyrocketing. This is a guaranteed festival for Suriya Anna's Anbana Fans." Post the announcement, the fans too are quite hopeful about the mass entertainer hitting the bull's eye at the box office.
Siva is right now basking in the success of Ajith starrer Viswasam especially after his four other films with him namely Veeram, Vedalam, and Vivegam.
On the other hand, his 38th film aka Suriya 38 is titled as Soorarai Pottru. Directed by Sudha Kongara, the flick is Guneet Monga’s maiden Tamil production. For the uninitiated, Monga’s 2018 production “Period. End of Sentence”, recently bagged the Best Documentary Short Subject award at the 91st Academy Awards. She also is known for financially backing critically acclaimed films like Masaan, Lunchbox, Shahid, Haraamkhor to name a few. Apart from this, Suriya will also be seen in NGK and Kaappaan.
