Kamal Haasan's next release is assumed to be his last project before he decides to focus on his political career completely. He's all set to star in Shankar's next a sequel to his 1996 movie, Indian. While the movie is making headlines for all the right reasons, the recent one may make you think otherwise. If recent reports by India Today is to believe, the sequel, Indian 2 is on the verge of getting shelved and director Shankar is to be blamed for it. According to the reports Shankar had a major fallout with film's producer, Lyca Productions. Since the director is known for using lavish sets for his movies. And his last release, 2.0 with Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar didn't yield the desired results at the box office, makers are wary of splurging exorbitant amount for Indian 2. It is being reported that the film might get shelved if the director can't find investors for the film in Telugu and Hindi cinema. Recently Ajay Devgn revealed the real reason behind rejecting Kamal Haasan's Indian 2. The actor was approached by Shanker to play the lead antagonist in his sequel. However, since the shooting dates were clashing with Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior, Ajay had to let it go. Makers are still busy finalising the right actor and we hope everything falls in place for them.
