Ranganathan Madhavan is all set to turn director with his upcoming movie, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. The movie is a biopic on the Indian space scientist Nambi Narayanan, who was accused of being a spy before the charges were later dropped. Madhavan himself will be playing the lead in the film and his makeup as the white-bearded Narayanan left Twitterati astounded with the transformation. As per a report in Behindwoods, there are speculations that R Madhavan had roped in two huge stars to make friendly appearances in the film. The report quotes the sources saying that Suriya Sivakumar will be doing a cameo in Rocketry's Tamil version, while the Hindi version will be having Shah Rukh Khan in the same role! Now that's some casting coup. Let's see if R Madhavan makes an official announcement on this.
We have had occasions in the past where two different actors did the same cameo role in different versions of the same film. Like Ajith Kumar did Amitabh Bachchan's cameo in the Tamil version of the late Sridevi's English Vinglish.

The actor has worked with both Suriya and Shah Rukh Khan in different films. Madhavan and Suriya were the leads in Mani Ratnam's Aaytha Ezhuthu (Tamil version of Yuva). Recently, Madhavan had played an extended cameo of a space scientist, interestingly, in Shah Rukh Khan's Zero that came out a couple of months back.
