When it comes to his career, Sivakarthikeyan is going through one golden phase. Most of his movies are clicking with the audiences and are successes at the box office. People are loving how his films are mixing light-hearted entertainment with a social message. The former VJ turned actor has seen back to back successes at the box office ever since his breakout film, Ethir Neechal. Some of the biggest hits have been Rajini Murugan, Remo and Velaikkaran. However, Sivakarthikeyan has also been accused by a few critics of promoting 'stalking' in some of his movies, like in Rajini Murugan and Remo, where his character is shown chasing after the girl. Seemaraja Trailer: Sivakarthikeyan and Samantha Akkinenis Film is Pure Masala Fun With a Surprising Baahubali-like Twist; Watch Video

Sivakarthikeyan is now turning producer with his upcoming film, Seemaraja, in which he also plays the main lead. In an interview to Film Companion, the actor, while promoting the film, also opened up on the allegations of promoting stalking in his previous movies. When asked about how critics' opinions affect him, he replied, "I don’t know why I am repeatedly targeted for promoting “stalking in films”. Am I the only one who does it here? It’s wrong, agreed. But there’s a way you say that. Deep down, I know how much I respect women. And women in my life know what kind of a person I am. I’ve stopped explaining myself to people. I don’t know why they dissect and analyse films like Remo that were meant to 'purely entertain the audience'. I’ve had female fans tell me how much they liked the film for the costumes I wore and the effort I took to pull off the nurse character."

He further added, "All those who had problems with Remo, where did you go when I did Velaikkaran? It was a quality film. I am not saying it wasn’t a hit film. But it wasn’t celebrated the way it deserved to be. I go by certain principles – my films won’t have smoking scenes or bloodshed. I don’t do films for money." We don't how much his defence will go down with the people who have levelled these accusations. But then Sivakarthikeyan is hardly the first actor to be blamed. Nearly every romantic entertainer made in Kollywood has this trend. Seemaraja Teaser: Sivakarthikeyan and Samantha Akkinenis Mass Entertainer Promises Action, Romance and Humour in Equal Dose; Watch Video
