Sandakozhi 2 Trailer: Vishal Once Again Gets into Saviour Mode as He Fights Baddies and Romances Keerthy Suresh
Sandakozhi 2 is aiming to release in June.
In Tamil star's Vishal's own words, May 11 is a special day for him. Not only has his much-anticipated movie Irumbuthirai finally got into theatres (blame the 48-day film strike for that), the trailer for his upcoming movie has also been unveiled on this day. Before the trailer of Sandakozhi 2 came out, Vishal had tweeted, "Double Delight Today, #Sandakozhi2Trailer & #IrumbuThirai both releasing today....GB". As Irumbu Thirai is running to packed houses, we are back to seeing Vishal in a massy, rural avatar for Sandakozhi 2.
The movie is a sequel to 2005 hit Sandakozhi and marks the return of Vishal as the village hero. He is reportedly having a double role in the movie, one being the protagonist of the first movie, Balu, and the other being Siva. Keerthy Suresh, who is wowing audiences with her performance in Mahanati, is playing the female lead. The sequel looks to have a female antagonist in Varalaxmi Sarathkumar. Raj Kiran also makes a return to play Balu's father again.

Sandakozhi 2 also marks Vishal's 25th film of his career. It is written and directed by N Linguswamy. who also helmed the first movie. Sandakozhi 2 is aiming to release in June.
