Okay I was really excited for the Saamy Square trailer because the prequel was so damn good. I was one of those fans who was waiting to watch Aarusamy back in action but the trailer of the sequel has only left me confused. Yes, it has a mass appeal and it's for that specific set of audience but it has majorly disappointed me. I remember Aarusamy as this calm and composed police officer who only got angry when things got worse. But this one is angry forever and there are special effects that are absolutely unnecessary. And there is a scene where he chants Mangalyam which reminds us of Anniyan in a very eerie way.
Like I mentioned earlier, there are weird special effects that will make you wonder if it's a horror film or a mass appeal movie. Even the antagonist in the movie is seen meditating but Vikram seems to have had too much of those hormonal pills. Keerthy Suresh's entry is soothing and seems entertaining until she gets slapped by the actor. The Saamy Square trailer gave nothing away about the plot of the movie. Because it just had Vikram beating people up, including Keerthy and a lot of fight scenes.

Reports suggest that the film will begin where the last one ended. Vikram will play his own and Trisha's son in this one.
