Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor plays the female lead in Saaho, making this her South debut. Saaho also stars popular names from Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi cinema in the supporting cast. Actors like Jackie Shroff, Lal, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Chunky Pandey, Mahesh Manjrekar, Tinnu Anand, Murali Sharma, Mandira Bedi, Evelyn Sharma, Vennella Kishore, Devan, Prakash Belavadi are also part of the cast.
We have watched Saaho and found it to be, well, rather underwhelming for what was to be a visual spectacle. The production values are slick, but the VFX is very average. But Saaho's biggest failings are its writing and direction. The movie is filled with many twists, some of them very shocking. Still, if you are curious about those twists, here are five of the best ones here. Of course, they are all huge spoilers for Saaho, so it is a risk that you have to take.
The Kingpin Gets Killed
When Saaho begins, Jackie Shroff's Roy is given a very dynamic intro as the kingpin of the crime empire based in the fictional city of Waaji. We expect him to be the movie's main baddie, so imagine our shock when Roy gets killed within the first ten minutes of the movie! Instead, it is Chunky Pandey's Devaraj who turns out to be the main antagonist of Saaho.
The Real Ashok Chakravarthy
In the beginning, the Mumbai police and the audience are under the impression that Prabhas's character is the undercover cop Ashok Chakravarthy, who is tasked to catch a thief who has carried out a series of heists in the city. The movie nudges to Neil Nitin Mukesh's character as the purported thief out to steal a mysterious black box, with Murali Sharma's cop secretly helping him. Near interval, we find out that it is the other way around. Neil is the luckless undercover cop, while Prabhas is Saaho, the master-thief who has stolen the blackbox right under the noses of the cops.

Saaho Switches Sides and Trucks
When the baddies, led by Devaraj (Chunky Panday) and Prince (Mahesh Manjrekar), accost Saaho and kidnap his girl, they task him to steal the gold from Vishwank (Arun Vijay), Roy's heir in Waaji. We see scenes of Saaho meticulously planning for the heist, but it turns out that he is in cahoots with Vishwank and he actually steals from Devaraj. When the police try to block the trucks in which the loot are carried out, it leads to an explosive chase. But after stopping the trucks, the cops realise that Saaho has switched the trucks at some point. When and how that happened, don't ask us that!
Kalki Becomes Double Agent
Kalki (Mandira Bedi) has been sort of legal adviser and confidante for the Roy empire. In the third act, it is revealed that she is a mole planted there by Devaraj who kills some of Vishwank's people and hacks into his locker. Only to see a twist waiting for her there. Saaho is filled with nearly every character turning out to be a turncoat, yet what makes Kalki get an entry here is how random and yet crucial her turn is inserted in the film, and to where it leads to.
Saaho's Real Identity
This twist is something you should have smelt a mile away. As Kalki sees pictures of the dead kingpin Roy with his son, Ashok is given a reality check by Vishwank about the true son of the dead kingpin. And you won't get any marks for guessing it is Saaho who is the real heir of the Roy empire, and he has been planning a very elaborate scheme to get back at the killers of his father.
