In the latest update, it has been revealed that Darshan had borrowed Rs 40 lakh from his friend Mohan Raj to pay off his associates to destroy the evidence related to the murder case. The police recovered Rs 37.4 lakhs from a green Puma bag at the actor's residence. As per details provided in the remand copy, the police also recovered Rs 4.5 lakh from the house of the head of Darshan's fan association. After Renuka Swamy's body was found near a stormwater drain next to an apartment in Sumanahalli in Bengaluru on June 9, a total of 17 people have been arrested in connection with the case.
