Sandalwood star Darshan Thoogudeepa found himself embroiled in a major legal battle after he was arrested on June 11 in connection with the Renuka Swamy murder case alongside his alleged partner Pavithra Gowda. In a significant development in the murder case, the Karnataka police acquired over 200 pieces of technical and physical evidence. According to a police official, the evidence was gathered from multiple locations associated with the crime. It has also been revealed that both Darshan and Pavithra Gowda's fingerprints were found on the objects related to the murder. Karnataka Police Recover 200 Pieces of Evidence With Some Having Darshan and Pavithra Gowda’s Fingerprints
"The evidence was collected from the shed where the murder took place, the security guard's room where the body was kept, the vehicle used for transportation, the site where the body was dumped, the victim's clothes and the weapons used in the attack, The fingerprints on the accused's clothing were also analysed. The preliminary forensic report also confirmed that the fingerprints match those of the accused. This evidence will bolster the prosecution's case in the upcoming trial," a police officer said, as quoted by Hindustan Times.
It has also been revealed that the Kannada star and Pavithra were using SIM cards registered under somebody else's name. Darshan's number was registered in CP Hemanth's name, while Pavithra's number was registered under Manoj's name.
