Renowned dubbing artist and actor Anandavally died today at the age of 62. Anandavally breathed her last in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The talented artist holds a special and irreplaceable place in the Malayalam film fraternity. Anandavally has lent her voice to many popular actresses including Geetha, Silksmitha, Madhavi, Jayapradha, Karthika, Sumalatha, Parvathy, Gauthami, Suhasini and Sobhana. She strived her place in the film industry after exploring the many areas of the showbiz world, including the drama field. Anandavally began her film journey in 1973 as an actor in the film Kadu. Later she found her forte in dubbing and later earned a big name in the field. Her first film as a dubbing artist was Devi Kanyakumari in which she was the voice of actress Rajasri.
Apart from Devi Kanyakumari, her very famous and successful works include Manjil Virinja Pookkal, Nirakkoottu, Aadharam, Manichithrathazhu, Sukrutham, and Mazhathullikkilukkam, among others. The dubbing artist was also awarded the Kerala State Award for the Malayalam film Aadharam dubbed for actress Geetha.
