Redditor Accuses Sreejith Ravi of Pedophilia and Sexual Assault; Reddit Post Detailing Allegations Against Malayalam Actor Goes Viral
A Redditor has allegedly accused Malayalam actor Sreejith Ravi of pedophilia and sexual assault, revealing a survivor’s harrowing account and criticising the legal system and film industry for failing to hold him accountable.
A viral Reddit post has brought serious allegations against Malayalam actor Sreejith Ravi, accusing him of alleged pedophilia and sexual assault. The anonymous user recounted being allegedly sexually assaulted by him at the age of 12 during a sleepover and enduring continued harassment for several years. Despite multiple arrests for allegedly flashing minors, Ravi has not been convicted, with his family and community supporting him and the legal system failing to hold him accountable. The victim wrote in the post, “His (Sreejith Ravi) only defense is that he has a mental illness - which is very funny to me because he did not reoffend (atleast publicly) for 6 years after his first arrest, which is the exact number of years it took for the courts to acquit him in the first crime. Less than 6 months after that lawsuit was dropped by the victims, he reoffends and again claims mental illness (and gets bail). The Redditor even highlighted about the actor’s POCSO case, stating, “If you read the verdict of his first POCSO case (Crl.M.C.2260/2021 in Kerala High Court), you’ll see that he was acquitted because witnesses turned hostile and the victims dropped the lawsuit, not because he was innocent.” Actor Sreejith Ravi Granted Bail by Kerala High Court in POCSO Case.

The victim expressed deep disillusionment with both the legal system and the Malayalam film industry, criticising their role in enabling and capitalising on such behaviour. The post highlights the ongoing struggle for justice faced by survivors of abuse.
