Darbar will be Superstar Rajnikant’s first collaboration with director A. R. Murgadoss. Apart from Rajni, the film also stars Suneil Shetty and Nivetha Thomas in pivotal roles alongside Nayanthara, Kunal Kemmu, Ravi Kishan and Sourabh Shukla.
Despite stringent steps being taken, yet another still of Rajnikanth from his next film Darbar has gotten leaked online. In the still, Rajni is seen walking around on the sets in his cop avatar. Earlier, a scene from the film where Rajni is seen in a police van while another actor in the cop uniform drives him around was leaked. Darbar, whose first look was released a few weeks back, has been set for a 2020 Pongal release and sees actress Nayanthara as the female lead opposite the Tamil superstar. Apart from Rajni, the film also stars Suneil Shetty and Nivetha Thomas in pivotal roles alongside Nayanthara, Kunal Kemmu, Ravi Kishan and Sourabh Shukla. A few south media portals have also reported that Rajnikanth will be seen playing a double role in this film. Well, this justifies the film’s tagline – ‘You decide if you want me to be good, bad or worse’.
The film that will be releasing during the festive season of Pongal/Sankranti next year apparently has competition from Mahesh Babu starrer Sarileru Neekevvaru and also the much anticipated Allu Arjun-Trivikram Srinivas' untitled next, which are set to be released during the festive period. And if things work out, the Balakrishna’s next flick may join the competition soon.
