Rajinikanth's Kaala Karikaalan and Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam 2 to Release on These Dates?

There has been a lot of hype about Rajinikanth's Kaala Karikaalan and Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam 2. However, the release dates of the two films were on hold due to the Tamil Film Producers Council strike. Now that the strike has ended, producers have been reassigning release dates of Tamil films that were on hold. Kaala Karikaalan, which was ideally supposed to release on 27th April 2018 along with Avengers: Infinity War will now release in 15th June 2018, as per rumours. Kamal's Vishwaroopam 2 will, however, release in May 2018. The dates for films are yet to be announced. Industry insiders and fans are speculating that Kaala will see a Ramadan release on 15th June 2018.

As far as Vishwaroopam 2 is concerned, it is confirmed that the film will release in May 2018 but the date is not out yet. Though there are rumours suggesting that Kamal will be releasing the trailer of the film along with Avengers: Infinity War. Can't wait to watch that one! Kamal had postponed the release date of the trailer and was waiting for the strike to end so he could release the trailer. Prabhudeva's Mercury is the first film to hit the big screens after the strike and will release on 20th April 2018. Bookings for Mahesh Babu's Bharat Ane Nenu have also begun in full swing and fans are pretty excited to watch the film. When asked about the delay in releasing Kaala, TFPC President Vishal told the media, "We will sit together tomorrow (April 18) with all the producers and decide on the release dates of all the films. Already, there are films which have missed its release due to the strike. The releases are already placed in an order. So, we will discuss that and officially announce the new release dates for all the upcoming movies tomorrow. Going forward, we will plan in such a way, that three films can be accommodated on a single Friday, without any indifference.
