BREAKING! Rajinikanth's Kaala Cleared by Censor Board with U/A Rating
Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth will be seen next in the gangster drama, Kaala.
Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth will be seen next in the gangster drama, Kaala. The movie is directed by Pa Ranjith, who earlier directed the actor-turned-politician in the 2016 film Kabali. Kaala is produced by Rajinikanth's son-in-law and actor Dhanush, and is scheduled to release on June 7. The movie is based in Mumbai, where Rajinikanth's character Kaala is a don based out of Dharavi.
The movie has just gone through Censor Board clearance, and it has been passed with a U/A rating. The certification makes sense since Kaala is a gangster drama and has scope for mob-based violence. It also somewhat make amends for the Board's decision to give a U rating to Kabali, despite the scenes of copious violence and bloodshed in the movie. The Board had got a lot of flak for that decision them, especially when it was in the denial mode to give Udta Punjab a certificate.
The runtime of the movie has also been revealed, which comes to 2 hours and 46 minutes. Check out the CBFC certificate below -
Talking more about Kaala, the movie also stars Nana Patekar, who plays a politician as well as serving as the primary antagonist. Kaala also stars Huma Qureshi, Samuthirakani, Eswari Rao, Aravind Akash, Ravi Kale, Pankaj Tripathi, and Anjali Patil. Santhosh Narayanan has scored the music for the film.
Kaala is also getting a Hindi dubbed version released in North India, after Anil Thadani's AA Films has teamed up with Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films and Lyca Productions to do so.
