Queen is being remade in four major languages down South, each with a different cast and different directors, and of course different names.
Kangana Ranaut gave a National award-winning performance in 2014's Queen. The slice of life film also made big bucks at the box office and was considered as one of the best films of the year. Now half a decade later, Queen is set to showcase the histrionics of four actresses down South. The film is being remade in four major languages down South, each with a different cast and different directors, and of course different names. The Kannada version is called Butterfly and has Parul Yadav in the lead. She is also one of the producers credited for all the remakes. Veteran actor-director Ramesh Aravind is directing the film. Butterfly also stars Elli Avram playing the role that Lisa Haydon had in Queen. Elli Avram also reprises her character in the Tamil version too, that is named Paris Paris. Kajal Aggarwal is the lead in the female that is also directed by Ramesh Aravind.

That Is Mahalakshmi is the Telugu remake with Tamannaah Bhatia of Baahubali fame playing the heroine. The movie is directed by Prasanth Varma. Shibani Dandekar steps into Lisa Haydon's shoes here.

Finally, there is Zam Zam, the Malayalam remake, that stars Manjima Mohan in the lead. The movie is directed by G Neelakanta Reddy, and also stars Sunny Wayne.
