The Telangana Cyber Bureau (TGCSB), has filed an FIR against YouTuber Praneeth Hanumanthu for making 'distasteful' comments in a video. The controversial clip featured a group of men giving a sexual colour to a father-daughter bond, leading to a significant online backlash. Following the uproar, Praneeth Hanumanthu issued an apology. The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau is investigating the case and reported that all of Hanumanthu's phones were switched off, making it difficult to locate him. The incident came to light after actor Sai Dharam Tej flagged the video, tagging Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and urging him to take necessary action to prevent such horrific acts in the future. The incident came to light when actor Sai Dharam Tej shared a post and voiced about the incident and wrote, "This is beyond gruesome, disgusting, and scary." His call to action prompted a response from the Chief Minister, who thanked the actor for bringing the issue to their attention. "Thank you for bringing to our notice this issue @IamSaiDharamTej garu. Child safety is the utmost priority for our government. We will look into this incident and take appropriate action," the Chief Minister said on X. The Women Safety Wing of the Telangana Police and the DGP Telangana Police also responded to Tej's post. Addressing the inappropriate comments made about a child, an FIR has been filed with TGCyberBureau, and strict actions will follow. The Telangana police emphasised their commitment to protecting all citizens, especially children, and warned that offenders misusing social media for humour would face justice. "Our team @TelanganaCOPs is diligently identifying them," they stated.
