Petta is directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the maverick film-maker known for making critically acclaimed entertainers like Pizza, Jigarthanda and Iraivi. Petta also features an ensemble cast, consisting of Vijay Sethupathi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui (in his Tamil Debut), Simran Bagga, Trisha Krishnan, M Sasikumar, J Mahendran and Guru Somasundaram. The movie is all set to release during Pongal 2019.
