Rajinikanth's new look from Petta is quite a catch! While the first look of Petta was dropped a few months ago which had the actor in an out-and-out rowdy avatar. The look sure received tremendous attention by fans considered it a very cool look. And looks like the second one is going to rake in the same kind of attention!

In the new poster, Rajinikanth looks much younger and has a rustic desi avatar. He is sporting Singham-inspired moustaches in a crisp white 'veshti sattai' with an Iyer naamam. Interestingly, while the actor seems to be seated in his symbolic throne, there's a vision of the sun rising in the background, giving it an emblematic vibe. The official Twitter account of Sun Pictures shared the tweet with a caption, "#PettaSecondLook @rajinikanth @karthiksubbaraj @anirudhofficial @DOP_Tirru @sureshsrajan @PeterHeinOffl @vivekharshan @VijaySethuOffl @Nawazuddin_S @SimranbaggaOffc @trishtrashers"

Helmed by Pizza famed director Karthik Subbaraj, the film also stars industry stalwarts Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Vijay Sethupathi. The film also stars Trisha, Bobby Simha and Simran in pivotal roles. Rajinikanth's films may not be doing so well at the box office, considering how his past films have tanked. However, he is consistently surprising his fans with new films after films.

Currently, Rajinikanth is also involved in promotions for his upcoming sci-fi fantasy film 2.0, a sequel to the 2010 film Robot, both directed by Shankar. As for Petta, with such an intriguing cast that brings together some of the best actors from the industry, we can't wait to see what is in store for us!
