Kangana Ranaut starrer Queen which released in 2014 has been one of the most successful female-led films in Bollywood and is currently being remade in four different languages including, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Actress Kajal Aggarwal is all set to reprise Ranaut's role in the Tamil remake of the film. Elli Avaram has been roped in to play the role of Lisa Haydon's character from the original in this remake. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala, has now revealed that the film which has been titled Paris Paris is being referred to Censor revising committee, as the Tamil censor board has reportedly ordered several cuts in the film. According to a Twitter post, it is being reported that the Kannada and Malayalam censor boards have certified the movie as is, however, the Tamil censor board has "attracted numerous blurs as well as audio and video cuts from the board".

According to reports, Censor Board has questioned the makers over bold visuals in the film. The board has asked them to tone down the bold scenes and mute cuss words.

Although, the makers of Paris Paris have now referred to the revising committee regarding the same. As for the othe versions of the film, it has been named That's Mahalakshmi in Telugu, Zam Zam in Malayalam and Butterfly in Kannada. Tamannah Bhatia stars in the Telugu remake while Manjima Mohan and Parul Yadav feature in Malayalam and Kannada remakes respectively.

Paris Paris has been directed by Ramesh Aravind and produced by Manu Kumaran. The film also stars Vinaya Prasad, Varun Shashi Rao and Bhargavi Narayan in key roles.
