The festival of Onam has always been the biggest event for Keralites not just in terms of celebrations and sales, but also when it comes to the movies. Some of the big releases chose to come during this festive season, not necessary on the same day, but end up clashing with each other at the box office. Sometimes as many as six to eight movies have come up during the period. What is surprising is that there have been occasions, when most of these movies end up becoming hits.

Now in 2019, the festivities of Onam will begin on September 1 and end on September 13, with Thiruvonam falling on September 13. As per certain reports, six films are releasing during this period. Movies featuring Mohanlal, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tovino Tomas, Nivin Pauly, Nayanthara et al are reportedly releasing during the period, which is subject to change. Kaappaan New Stills: These Pics Featuring Suriya, Mohanlal and Others Are a Must See!
