Actress Samantha Akkineni and singer Chinmayi Sripaada share a special bond considering the latter has been the voice of the South sensation in the Telugu industry for long. Sripada has dubbed for almost all of Samantha's films including her upcoming film Oh Baby. In the recently released teaser of the film, we get to hear Sripaada's voice and it is indeed a delight. This is mainly exciting considering, the singer has had a hard time getting back to work ever since she came out with the MeToo revelation calling famous lyricist Vairamuthu as a sexual offender. Singer Chinmayi Sripada’s Termination From Tamil Dubbing Union Proves Why #MeToo Movement Will Never Succeed in India.

What's unfortunate is that till date, Chinmayi gets trolled on social media and this time it was after she shared the teaser of Oh Baby and excitedly wrote, "Aaaaaaand. I DUBBED IN TAMIL for Samantha. Frankly, it is only because of @nandureddy4u and @Samanthaprabhu2 that this was possible."

After a troll hit back at her saying the film will flop because it has three feminists, Samantha had the best response. She wrote, "Ha ha ha ... Thankyou .. world meet idiot .. idiot meet world .."

Chinmayi was among the few ones who gave impetus to the Me Too movement in India but the flak she received in return was unbelievable. In 2018, the singer was terminated from the dubbing union. Yet, the singer was determined to fight and took this to the Court. After the judges ordered that her dubbing union ban has stayed temporarily. Oh Baby is the first film she has worked on ever since the ban on her was lifted. . #MeToo Movement: Chinmayi Says She Will File a Complaint Against Vairamuthu – Watch Video.

It is great to see actresses like Samantha Akkineni taking a stand against such trolls and also making sure that the women in the industry continue to get the respect and recognition they need.

Oh Baby is a Telugu remake of Korean film Miss Granny. The film revolves around the story of 70-year-old who finds herself in the body of a 20-year-old girl.
