Arjun Reddy placed Telugu actor Vijay Devarakonda as one of the industry’s finest actors and also inspired its remakes in Hindi and Tamil languages as well. And while the Hindi one starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani is sailing smoothly, the Tamil remake, which was titled Varmaa, ran into troubled waters when the director Bala was fired from the movie. The makers E4 Entertainment released a press release stating that since they were not happy with the final cut and that the film ‘doesn't live up to the spirit of the original film’. And now, the makers, who are looking at a June 2019 release, have locked in their lead actors. While it was already revealed that apart from Dhruv Vikram, the entire cast was going to be replaced, the makers have roped in October fame actress Banita Sandhu as the new female lead. Apparently, director Bala and E4 Entertainment had a major fallout, post which they decided to replace him and issued their statements about being unhappy with the final product. However, director Bala was quick to retort and released his statement which read that he was being 'forced' to give out a clarification that 'he bid adieu to the movie to save his creative freedom' and that E4 had released false statements.
