Ever since he received high critical acclaim for his performance in Arjun Reddy, Vijay Deverakonda has been the toast of the town when it comes to Telugu industry. Later, his performance in Mahanati was also appreciated, while his recent film Geeta Govindham is doing superb business both in India as well as overseas (where it has beaten both Gold and Satyameva Jayate). Now Vijay Deverakonda is all set to make his debut in Tamil cinema with the bilingual NOTA. Mahanati Star Vijay Devarakondas Way of Celebrating his 29th Birthday Will Make the Kids Happy
NOTA, which usually is an abbreviation for 'none of the above', is a political thriller directed by Anand Shankar of Iru Mugan fame. The movie has Vijay play a young Chief Minister, who is reluctant to handle the responsibilities that come along with the power and position. The trailer begins with someone telling that the reservoirs are full and if they open the shutters all of a sudden, many towns will be submerged. Considering the same thing happened in Kerala recently, we are not sure if this was a deliberate take.
We then meet Vijay's character who becomes the CM of the state while reluctant to let go of his wild partygoing ways and had no issue dropping the F-word. This, of course, brings him always under media scrutiny, leading to political turmoil in the state.
