Fans woke up to a shocking Wednesday on August 29; The news about Nandamuri Harikrishna's death due to a car accident in Telangana’s Nalgonda district left everyone stunned. The news broke a million hearts at once. We all wish this was all a bad dream and that we wake up from it soon. Reportedly, Harikrishna, the son of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister NT Rama Rao, was critically injured after his car crashed into a road median and overturned. The 61-year-old, who suffered chest and head wounds, was in a critical state; He was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead at the hospital on arrival.

Daana Veera Soora Karna

Daana Veera Soora Karna is one of the greatest movies ever made in Tollywood. Helmed and bankrolled by NT Rama Rao under his Ramakrishna Cine Studios banner, the mythological film is one of the lengthiest films but the master piece was made in just 43 days. The film, of course, recorded as a Blockbuster at the box office.The film also featured NT Rama Rao, who essayed three roles in the film - Karna, Duryodhana and Krishna, while Harikrishna and his brother Nandamuri Balakrishna played the roles of Arjuna and Abhimanyu respectively.

Lahiri Lahiri Lahirilo

Written, helmed and bankrolled by YVS Chowdary under the banner Bommarillu, Lahiri Lahiri Lahirilo is a 2002 musical-family drama and it stars Bhanupriya, Suman, Rachana, Vineeth, Sanghavi, Aditya Om and Ankitha in the lead roles, while veteran actress Lakshmi played the main villain's role in the film. This too was a hit at the box-office.

Seetayya

Seetayya, that was released in 2003, was a super hit at the box-office. In the film, Harikrishna plays the role of a powerful cop, whose objective is to put an end to the ruthless factions in Rayalaseema. Helmed by YVS Chowdary, the film also Soundarya and Simran in pivotal roles. Music for the film, which was composed by MM Keeravani, was very well received.

Siva Rama Raju

Helmed by V Samudra, Siva Rama Raju was a remake of Tamil film Samudhiram (2000) with sub-plot borrowed from another Tamil film Simmarasi (1998). Bankrolled by RB Choudary under Super Good Films, the film stars Nandamuri Harikrishna, Jagapathi Babu, Venkat, Sivaji and Monica in the lead roles. The music was scored by SA Rajkumar.

Seetharama Raju

Helmed by YVS Chowdary, the film stars Nagarjuna Akkineni, Nandamuri Harikrishna, Sakshi Shivanand and Sanghavi in the lead roles while the music for the film was scored by MM Keeravani.  Bankrolled jointly by Nagarjuna Akkineni and D Sivaprasad Reddy under the Great India Enterprises and Kamakshi Movies banner,  Seetharama Raju was dubbed in Tamil and was titled as Sathriya Dharmam.

Speaking about the accident, it took place in Nalgonda, 100 km from Hyderabad. Reportedly, the actor, who was driving to Kavali in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh to attend the wedding of a fan, was critically injured after his car crashed near Anneparthi. However, he was declared dead at 7.30 am in the hospital. Watch this space for further updates.
