A couple of months ago, influencer Prapti Elizabeth brought forth grave allegations of sexual assault against Malayalam director Chidambaram during an Instagram interaction. Despite this, the director's film Manjummel Boys enjoyed unprecedented success at the box office, overshadowing the allegations. Now, the highest-grossing film in Malayalam cinema has made its debut on Disney+ Hotstar, garnering significant viewership. In the video, Prapti begins by saying, "Hi, and welcome to me finding out that my sexual assaulter's second film is now on a popular OTT platform. Does it trigger me? Does it trigger me? Of course, it does. But you know what trauma gives you? Trauma gives you audacity. It gives you the audacity to do it for the plot. The plot is called 'Not All Men'."

Prapti then challenges those questioning her experiences, insisting that they direct their inquiries to the perpetrator. She proceeds to recount the details of the sexual assault incident, adding, "If you're not into him, please don't drink around him and then pass out because, that's what he's into. Or just don't drink around them because that's consent." The allegations, if substantiated, are indeed shocking.

For those unfamiliar with the background, Prapti was involved in Chidambaram's debut film Jan.E.Man, during which she alleges the assault occurred. However, sceptics questioned why she waited three years to come forward with accusations against the director or why she participated in promotional activities for the film.

In the video above, Prapti continues to counter her critics and challenges their double standards, even those who claim art has to be separated from the artist. She asserts, "You'll go and ask them why didn't you come out when he did it to you? Well, what? If I'm coming out three years later and telling you, it does not hold value or what? Like, what guilt are you hiding? What did you do in your past and want to be suppressed so bad that you hate it when sexual assaults of the past turn up? Each and every person who has been accused of something and is successful today is proof that women are never going to be safe. It's a patriarchy, and we're all just living in it.
