The Himachal Pradesh flash floods have stranded several people considering there have been cases of landslides in many parts of the state and hence there have been road blockages too. Recent reports stated that Malayalam superstar Manju Warrier and her film crew were also among those stranded in Himachal. Although they have now been rescued and are being moved to safety, said Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan on Twitter. According to reports, it was after Manju got in touch with her brother via a satellite phone that the situation of her and the crew was reported to the Chief Minister. She had stated during her interaction with her brother that they were running out of food and other essentials which were likely to last just another day, as per an NDTV report.

V Muraleedharan tweeted saying, "Spoke to Shri @jairamthakurbjp ji, Hon’ble CM of Himachal Pradesh on the Malayalam film crew stuck in Chatru. Mandi district administration is in touch with the stranded crew members. Evacuation efforts are on to bring them back to Manali by today evening."

Nearly, 26 people have died and two were reported missing in the state due to rain-related incidents in the past three days. While rescue operations are still on, several people are still stranded in the hilly state.

We hope Manju and the crew return safely soon. The actress is known for her work in Malayalam films like Thooval Kottaram, Sallapam, How Old Are You? and Lucifer.
