Dileep made headlines last year when a woman accused him with others of abduction. The case was registered by a Kerala woman in February 2017, and, even a year after the crime, the case is still going on in the court. It was reported that Dileep would be attending the trial that was scheduled on February 27. However, his lawyers have stated that he won't be able to attend the hearing as he has some personal issues. This is not the first time when Dileep has tried to push the court's hearing and he has attempted the same safe route in the past. After the actor cited several reasons to not attend the trial in order to postpone it, the hearing that was slated today has been pushed to March 13. Recently the victim had filed a petition requestion a woman judge on the case. On Monday, Kerala High Court judge V Raja Vijayaraghavan declared that special CBI judge Honey M Varghese will be hearing the case from now on. This decision was however not appreciated by Dileep and his team. The actor's delay in case hearing is touted as an intentional move to oppose the Kerala High Court's same decision.
