Malayalam Actor Sreenivasan Hospitalised After Suffering From Chest Pain, Shifted to Ventilator Support

Veteran Malayalam actor, screenwriter and director, Sreenivasan has been hospitalised on January 30. The actor had complained of chest pain, following which he had been admitted to a private hospital in Kochi, Kerala. He was dubbing for a movie in Lal Studios when the problem happened. As per a report in The News Minute, Sreenivasan's condition looks to very serious. He has been shifted to ventilator support, and the doctors are observing his medical condition very carefully. The news portal spoke to duty doctor Gautham Chandran, who revealed Sreenivasan's present condition. The doctor said, "He showed symptoms of a small heart failure, with water filling the lungs and high BP. We have given medicines to bring down the BP and moved him to ventilator support. There's a small improvement but as long as he's on ventilator support, we need to monitor him carefully. For at least 24 hours. We are waiting for more details. We have briefed his immediate relatives." We sure hope that the legendary actor managed to pull himself off from this condition and get back to his feet within no time.
A few days ago, Sreenivasan had been admitted at Aster Medicity Hospital, though he was discharged the next day.
Sreenivasan has been active in the film industry since the '70s. He is beloved to the Malayalam movie lovers for his performances and scripts. Sreenivasan has acted in popular movies like Nadodikaattu (and its sequels), Gandhinagar Second Street, Sandesam, Udaynanu Thaaram and many more. He had also scripted some of the best films in the '80s and his collaboration with director Sathyan Anthikkad is considered one among the best in creative combos. Sreenivasan had also directed two movies, Vadakku Nokku Yenthram and Chinthavishthayaya Shyamala, both considered classics today. Two of his sons, Vineeth and Dhyan, are established personalities in the film industry.
