Adivi Sesh will be next seen playing the role of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan in the upcoming film titled Major. The movie is based on NSG Commando's rescue operation, during the 26/11 terror attacks in Mumbai. He saved the lives of many people who were held hostage in the Taj Hotel in the terror attack. On the anniversary of the attack, Adivi Sesh took to his social media to pen a beautiful note for the real-life hero. Mahesh Babu is making his debut as the producer with Major.
Adivi Sesh wrote, "Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan was the opposite of what one may expect of such a decorated war hero. Where one expects seriousness, he was full of life and laughter. Where one expects patriotic speeches, he simply used to get things done with a smile,"
He added, "As I embark on this journey of playing the man himself in this film, MAJOR, I can safely say that his parents are like my parents. I try, not without failure, to make his heart my own. To smile like him. To walk like him. I know I can never be him. If only I could capture the essence."
"The 26/11 attacks may have claimed him, but his life has taught me more. I hope that shines through in our film," he concluded.

On getting to play the role, Adivi Sesh told the Deccan Chronicle in an interview, “I have to look extremely fit and slim. I am going to lose 10 kg in the next three months before we start shooting for Major. A strict diet plan has been worked out, and I intend to follow it faithfully. Luckily, I don’t have to avoid my mom’s food because she lives in California… I’ve to look and think like a true soldier. I don’t want to fake it.”
Adivi Sesh has had four successful films back to back, namely Kshanam, Oopiri, Ami Thumi and Evaru. Major also sounds promising and we are eagerly waiting for it. The movie is being shot in multiple languages and will also release in Hindi. The movie will hit the theatres in 2020. The actor will also be seen in Godachari 2.
