Whenever any South superstar celebrates his birthday, it's usually a double treat for their fans. It's not just about the special day, fans might also get a treat in form of a poster or a trailer of the star's upcoming movie. The same rule recently applied to Mahesh Babu's birthday. At the stroke of midnight, when the dashing superstar of Telugu cinema turned 43, he revealed the first look of his upcoming movie, Maharshi. Maharshi also happens to be his 25th film as a lead star.

While the poster doesn't reveal much about the movie, Mahesh Babu is seen sporting a stubble and dressed quite simple in a checkered shirt and jeans. Mahesh Babu has also adopted for a new hairstyle which we are sure will go well with his fans. He is also seen carrying a laptop. The poster also reveals his character's name as Rishi that abodes with the title of the film. Maharshi's poster asks you to join the journey of Rishi and we are curious to know where it leads.

Maharshi, produced by Aswini Dutt, Dil Raju and PVP, is directed by Vamshi Paidipally. Vamshi had earlier hits like Munna, Yevadu, Brindavanam and Thozha. This is the first time he is directing Mahesh Babu in a movie. The movie is scheduled to release next year.

Mahesh Babu has also signed to be a part of director Sukumar's next.
