Just when you thought there were no more surprises left to be shown as to who is acting in Lucifer! Prithviraj Sukumaran, the charming actor, is making his directorial debut with this political action thriller that has Mohanlal in the lead. Scripted by actor-scenarist Murali Gopy, Lucifer features an ensemble cast. Apart from Mohanlal, the movie also stars Manju Warrier, Indrajith Sukumaran, Vivek Oberoi, Faazil, Tovino Thomas, Saniya Iyappan, Saikumar, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Sachin Khedekar, and more. However, there was no hint given that Prithviraj himself would make an appearance in the film. The director threw away that shroud of secrecy as he revealed a new character poster of his on social media. Going by the name Zayed Masood, it is a very stylish look for the actor, right from the spectacles to the beard.

Talking more about the film, Lucifer was to be directed by the late Rajesh Pillai of Traffic fame, though his untimely demise put the film on hold. Prithviraj later took over the project, though he insists that it is only the title, the lead actor and the scenarist that he had borrowed, the rest of the project is different from what Pillai had envisioned. Lucifer is all set to release on March 28.
