Thalapathy Vijay gave a major blockbuster in 2023 in Leo. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Leo was a loose remake of David Cronenberg's 2005 thriller, A History of Violence. If you remember the plot of Leo, it was about a a family man and restauranteur named Parthi who attracts criminal attention after a heroic incident at his cafe. Parthi denies these claims, and when Antony comes to meet him, he refuses to acknowledge him as his father. SPOILER ALERT - Well, it turns out that Parthi is Leo Das, who has been hiding away from his past and raising his own family, protected from his warped legacy. Leo then realises that hiding is no longer an option and decides to end his old legacy once and for all.

So why is Leo trending now? Or for the matter 'Leo Das'? Well, thanks to one frame in the film, fans find out that 'Leo Das' was born on May 13, 1977, so thus they are celebrating his birthday today.

The movie's epilogue ends with connecting Leo to Lokesh's LCU, consisting of Kaithi and Vikram. However, with Vijay entering politics, there is a very difficult possibility of seeing this character return for a sequel or in other films in the LCU.
