Thalapathy Vijay gave a major blockbuster in 2023 in Leo. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Leo was a loose remake of David Cronenberg's 2005 thriller, A History of Violence. If you remember the plot of Leo, it was about a a family man and restauranteur named Parthi who attracts criminal attention after a heroic incident at his cafe. The criminals claim he is Leo Das, the son of a dreaded criminal Antony Das (Sanjay Dutt) and the nephew of Harold Das (Arjun Sarja), who was supposedly killed in an accident. Parthi denies these claims, and when Antony comes to meet him, he refuses to acknowledge him as his father. SPOILER ALERT - Well, it turns out that Parthi is Leo Das, who has been hiding away from his past and raising his own family, protected from his warped legacy. Leo then realises that hiding is no longer an option and decides to end his old legacy once and for all.
